Cristina Trecate 2014 Graduate of Rutgers University

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Cristina Trecate who just this past weekend graduated from Rutgers University. Cristina contacted me looking to explore the possibility of my taking photos of her in her graduation cap and gown and also her National Guard uniform to which she proudly serves all of us.

Cristina smartly chose to not go the route of the university was offering. We all know “school photos” are an assembly line type photo operation where little time, effort or creativity is put into the photo . It’s more of a sit down, smile, get out … NEXT!  We’ve all seen the results these kinds of images produce.  The final product has no life, no love and rarely do you get a pose that you truly love.  This is where I come in to save the day.

All it took was a little back and forth we had a date set and a location that would allow for some nice images that have a little more style then the typical graduation photo.  As you’ll see from the photos Cristina had a golden smile that she could show on queue.  This made working with her a photographer dream…Enjoy the photos!

The photos had come out so well Rutgers used it on their Facebook page to promote the graduation.   Good stuff and to see more click here.
